Centre for Independent Living Kent promotes the use of Direct Payments to enable disabled people to employ their own Personal Assistants, but understands the challenges that this can present. CiLK wants to make this website the ‘go to’ place for PA employers to advertise PA vacancies and for Personal Assistants looking for new opportunities.
To list your PA vacancy with us, please call or email us with the following details:
- Job Description
- How to apply
Please note, CiLK does not collate responses or provide further details to candidates. It is the responsibility of the individual to provide their preferred contact details for candidates to contact them directly.
Vacancies will be advertised on the website for a period of two weeks and will then be automatically removed. If the vacancy is not filled the individual must contact us to re-advertise the position.
Advertising vacancies on this website is free to individual PA Employers. If organisations wish to advertise on a PA Employer’s behalf there will be a charge for a two week post.
The role of CiLK in this matter is strictly that of a noticeboard and not as an Employment Agency. We can give no guarantees that applicants are suitable for jobs advertised and therefore no claims whatsoever may be made against CiLK as a result of any dispute between parties involved.

I am a 41 year old socially active physically disabled lady,I am cheerful and friendly and like to live life to the full. I need support to maintain an independent lifestyle. I am a powered wheelchair user and need assistance with personal care/medical care and all daily tasks. I am funded through a Personal Health Budget provided by the Continuing Healthcare provision through the NHS. I have for the last 10 years been employing live-in PA’s but have been requested by Continuing Healthcare to change to shift patterns, to make my care package more robust.
