Personal assistant to help female using a wheelchair, with her daily living.
Looking for lovely people: dynamic and energetic individuals with a friendly and fun disposition who enjoy life. A young 63 year old with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and a good sense of humour.
My MS has progressed in a way that I am now in a wheelchair and therefore require personal assistance to meet my needs and carry out my daily activities.
I need assistance both during the day and at night to:
- meet my personal needs (assistance dressing, to eat, getting to bed, showering…) which involves manual handling
- keep my house tidy, cooking, shopping, gardening, paperwork – anything that needs doing in any household.
- attend meetings, social events, visit family, leisurely activities
I require highly reliable, committed and trustworthy people with a positive outlook on life who are organised in the way they work.
It is an advantage to have a valid driving license and to be confident driving in this country.
It would be good if you were happy to be self-employed.
As I require specialised personal care, I would love to meet you for a casual interview.
I will require from you a CV and two references from previous employers or education.
Previous experience is not necessarily required as I am able to direct my care; a caring and positive personality is much more important to me.
Although I struggle to move my body, I am able to think for myself, and wish to lead an individual and independent life. By following my instructions, the role of my PA is to enable me to achieve this independence.
How to apply: Please contact me on 07801 387 191, if I am unavailable please a message with your name and contact details. Or contact me by e-mail on firstname.lastname@example.org.
