  • Knowledge about what support is available in Kent and Medway
  • Accessing services
  • How to get a wheelchair
  • Benefits
  • Direct Payments/Personal Budgets
  • Recruit Personal Assistants
  • Aids and equipment
  • Accessible transport and housing
  • National initiatives
  • Holidays and much more!

The Process

CiLK representatives will listen to the individual’s needs and establish their unique situation. CiLK will then give information to meet those needs in the format that best suits them. This could be services directly offered by CiLK or signposting to another organisation that can help.

CiLK has a range of information leaflets and self-assessment forms to inform the individual. Information and guidance can be provided by telephone, email or by post, but also face-to-face on Tuesdays from the office or during outreach sessions.

All information is provided by a peer, another disabled person – Experts by Experience.
