PA Job Finder is a free service provided by CiLK (The Centre for Independent Living Kent) helping you to find and recruit the right Personal Assistant (PA) for you.
It also enables people who are looking for work as a PA to see your details and apply to work for you.
What is a Personal Assistant?
A Personal Assistant (P.A.) is someone who is employed directly by a disabled person to enable them to live a full and independent life.
A P.A. provides support and assistance to enable their employer to achieve this. For example, they may provide personal care and domestic help and also assist the person to go meet their friends, go to work, go out for meals, participate in sport or leisure activities, go shopping etc.
A Personal Assistant does not make decisions on behalf of their employer but supports that individual to take control of their life.
What support can we offer?
We have five Personal Assistant Employers who are all experts by experience. They are available to provide; advice, information and practical support on direct payments; including completing your own payroll and how to employ and recruit personal assistants.
