CILK's Outreach service covers all areas in Kent including Dartford and the Medway Towns and provides advocacy, peer support and information covering all aspects of independent living.
Our Information Officer Donna Francis will assist those wishing to become direct payment users as well as those who are already receiving direct payments. We have information on services, equipment and much, much more so that you can make an informed decision about living independently, finding support providers and paying for your own support and assistance requirements.
The CILK outreach service delivers these enabling services direct to disabled people at different venues around the County regardless of age, impairment or ethic origin; it encourages and empowers all disabled people to take control of their lives by making use of the services/support they need.
CILK is a registered Charity, a Company limited by guarantee and an independent organisation run, controlled and managed by disabled people whose guiding ethos is the Social Model of Disability, the 12 basic requirements for independent living as identified by disabled people and equality and diversity.
