Pilot Advocacy Service – Big Lottery Funding

Centre for Independent Living Kent (CiLK) are running a pilot CiLK Counselling Service in the East Kent area which is being funded by Big Lottery Fund, Awards for All.  Donna Francis BSc (Hons), Dip.Couns, is a qualified counsellor and will be offering counselling to disabled people.  Donna is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abides by their Ethical Framework which can be found at www.bacp.co.uk Donna will be using a room at Touchbase Care, Folkestone.

CiLK has identified that disabled people find it hard to access counselling services due to the physical barriers faced.  CiLK are running this pilot to establish if there is a need for this service.

Counselling is an opportunity to talk about issues that may be affecting you in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.  Donna counsels from a person-centred perspective, putting the client first.

If you would like counselling or more information about the service, then please contact the CiLK Office on 01233 633187 or via email: [email protected]
